1st Year Program
The Journey
In your first year, you will take your first steps on the journey of a lifetime, as we explore walking with the Holy Spirit, our inheritance as sons and daughters of the Father, our union with Jesus, the culture of heaven, and the ministry of Jesus. It’s a year rich with revelation, healing, and breakthrough!
The Focus
The focus of your first 3 modules is learning to walk in your identity as a child of God. It is a semester of healing your relationship with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The teaching emphasis will be to remove barriers which keep students from relating well to the Trinity, including such topics as how to hear from God and how inner-healing issues impact our relationship with Him. Students are coached on how to go deeper in their individual relationships with the Lord and opportunities are made through worship for encounters with Him.
The focus of your last 2 modules is how to naturally live a supernatural lifestyle. Students are taught how to partner with Holy Spirit to bring the Kingdom into their everyday lives. The emphasis of teaching is on equipping and activating ministry gifts, including healing, prophesy, deliverance, evangelism, and intercession. The importance of maintaining a holy life and the impact of purity in our lives and ministries is also covered.
Family Groups
As a first year student, you will participate in a weekly family group, pastored by a SCSSM staff member. Each week, you will gather with your family group to process your SSM experience, minister to one another, receive teaching, and enjoy deeper conversation about identity, community, encounter, and ministry.
The Process
First year students have 5 required modules (taken in sequence) to complete a 1st year program. There are no electives required, but students may take electives, as desired. To enroll as a first year student, begin by reviewing our admissions information here.
